Your account and preferences
Settings > Your Account holds what belongs to you rather than to a workspace. It follows you into every workspace you belong to. To open Settings, press Settings at the bottom of the sidebar, then Settings in its menu, or press ⌘, (Ctrl+, on Windows and Linux).
Your Account also holds AI Providers, Skills and Plugins, each on its own page.
Account
Settings > Your Account > Account holds your profile and your GitHub Connection.
To change your picture:
- Press Change Picture and pick a JPG, PNG or WebP image up to 2 MB.
- In Adjust profile picture, crop and zoom the image.
- Press Save.
To change your name, edit Name and press Save Changes. Email Address shows the address you sign in with, and you cannot change it here.
The GitHub row shows your GitHub Connection, with Connect, Reconnect or Disconnect. With a connection, the commits from your messages and the pull requests the agent opens for you carry your GitHub handle. Import a repository explains the connection and the Kosuke GitHub App.
Delete your account
- Under Danger Zone, press Delete account.
- Type your email address and press Delete account.
This deletes your account, your API keys, your GitHub Connection and every card you published from Home. Any workspace where you are the only member is deleted too, with its projects and chat sessions. The dialog names those workspaces before you confirm. It cannot be undone.
Kosuke refuses while you own a workspace that has other members. Transfer ownership to another member, or delete that workspace, first. See Members and roles. It also refuses while a workspace it would delete has an unpaid invoice or usage still being billed.
Appearance
Settings > Your Account > Appearance offers Light, Dark and System. Kosuke starts in Dark. System follows your computer's setting.
Preferences
Settings > Your Account > Preferences holds two choices. The info icon beside each explains it in the app. Both apply to the turns you send, in any session, from your next message.
| Preference | Choices | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| Commits | Automatic, Manual | Automatic | Automatic has the agent commit and push its changes at the end of every turn. Manual leaves the changes uncommitted until you commit them from the chat footer. |
| Agent replies | Not-tech, Simplified, Standard | Standard | Not-tech has the agent talk to you without technical terms. Simplified keeps the technical names but writes short, simple sentences and gives a short context before each explanation. Standard keeps the usual developer wording. |
Agent replies applies to every agent you chat with: the agent in a chat session, the deploy agent in a project's deploy chat, and your Lead.
Not-tech changes what the agent says to you, its replies and the questions it asks you. Code, commit messages, pull request text and deploy configuration stay technical, because reviewers and the platform read them. So do the tickets your Lead files and the messages it sends into chat sessions.
Simplified writes in Simplified Technical English: short sentences, simple words and the active voice. In a chat session it also covers the recaps and pull request descriptions the agent writes. Code, commit messages, code comments and deploy configuration keep their usual style.
Standard is the agent's own style and adds nothing to its instructions. If you switch back to Standard in the middle of a conversation, the agent can keep the plainer style of its earlier replies there. Start a new conversation for replies in the usual style.
Both preferences follow whoever sends the message, not the session's Assignee. A colleague who sends into the same session gets their own settings. Open a pull request explains how Commits affects what reaches GitHub.
API keys
Create API keys for the Kosuke CLI, the MCP server and the API in Settings > Your Account > API keys. Authentication explains how.
The same section lists your Connected Apps under Connected apps. These are the AI apps, such as Claude or ChatGPT, that you allowed to act as you through the MCP server. Press Disconnect to cut one off. Its next call is refused.
Security
When your Settings show a Security section, it holds Cookie Preferences. Press Manage to choose which analytics and tracking cookies Kosuke may set.
